 RECLINER

Recliner describe their first full length CD, Make a Friend, as the soundtrack for a '72 Nova barreling down the Great Highway at dusk, dodging potholes, drunks and sand drifts. It's a release that explores a new varied sound, fluctuating between frenetic and contemplative. As the next evolution from their self-titled EP, it's another batch of tunes that is sure to stick in your head for weeks upon first listen.

A self-produced video for the first single, "All Pleasure", can currently be seen playing on Fuse TV. And the band's music continues to receive airplay across the country, and as far away as Chile.

Look Ma, no ProTools. This record found Recliner in a fast and furious recording environment, recording and mixing all tracks in less than a week. In an age where computers sanitize and sugarcoat most commercial releases, Recliner recorded AND mixed Make a Friend on analog tape at John Vanderslice's legendary Tiny Telephone Studios.

Engineered by Aaron Prellwitz (Sun Kil Moon, Neil Young, Bratmobile, The Donnas), the record achieves a tight, layered sound with instrumentation including trumpet, moog, casio keyboard, and folding metal chairs.
